As a Team Lead, you will work with the members of our Salesforce team to transfer technical knowledge and develop associate’s technical skills. These responsibilities will include enhancements to the application environment, ongoing support, and expansion of the application.  The role will partner with more senior leaders to execute on the strategic roadmap. We are going to give you a lot of instruction and feedback in your first year in order to help you become highly effective in your role. We are looking for someone who will be dedicated to learning, taking action on feedback, and building great relationships with colleagues and operating units.  Beyond that, we’re looking for someone with a high degree of ownership, who values completing work and admits failures.  We are looking for someone who always seeks to understand the Why for things and who is biased toward validating ideas with data. 


  • Provides direct supervision of team including goals, budget, and personal development.
  • Assists team with resolving problems and project implementations - includes development tasks.
  • Directs tasks to team members to achieve agreed upon objectives.
  • 70% of focus is within the directly managed team. Provides day to day communication required with peer associates and teams.  
  • Provides guidance to direct reports to develop technical and leadership skills. Focus is on developing a self-directing team and future leaders.
  • More than 80% of time is focused on a 3-12-month planning period and single project durations.
  • Provides training to lower level associates in the technology practice.
  • Receives overall direction from manager and director level roles regarding short term operational and tactical planning.
  • Closely monitors allocations and costs for internal and external resources.
  • Generates new ideas and consults with manager to improve areas of responsibility.
  • Collaborates with team members on technical direction of the application and provides recommendations to Management.
  • Primary interaction point is with project managers, company functional or technical leads, and local team members.
  • Travel for this position is approximately 10-30%.


  • 1 – 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.   Leadership development is the candidate's focus.
  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in related field or equivalent experience
  • Must have demonstrated the capability of meeting the key accountabilities or have the ability to learn/perform them.
  • Ability to lead personnel, technical, stakeholder, and project initiatives for an application development team.
  • Ability to thrive and produce team results with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrates senior level technology acumen.
  • Software Development Life Cycle experience.
  • Understanding of Agile SDLC is preferred.
  • Strong Project Management experience.
  • Strong customer service focus that serves as the basis for making decisions.
  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • 3 years of P&C insurance industry knowledge is preferred, but not required.
  • 3 years of experience with Salesforce or another CRM is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to interact seamlessly with both technical and business stakeholders at all levels of the corporation.
