Berkley Technology Services: Right Team, Right Technology, Simple and Secure.  

The PeopleSoft Developer will be responsible for the technical design, development, unit testing, and implementation of the financial applications, primarily PeopleSoft Financials ERP application.  The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and a team player capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Production Support

• Provide rotating on-call support of production systems
• Resolve application defects/bugs in a timely manner
• Analyze root cause and develop solutions to prevent issues from reoccurring
• Serve as liaison with the offshore dev team and other technical teams (system admin, DBA, Wintel, etc.)

System Implementation and Enhancements Projects

• Provide feedback on business requirements
• Translate requirements into technical design solutions.  Design and develop customizations and modifications to the PeopleSoft application, such as online transactions (classic and Fluid), batch and interface processing, queries, and reports, using standard PeopleSoft development tools
• Propose improvements to the usability and performance of financial applications
• Provide technical documentation

System Upgrades

• Resolve testing defects
• Serve as the technical lead on system upgrades including application and tools upgrades
• Retro-fit existing PeopleSoft customizations

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience with implementation, configuration, upgrade, customization and production support of PeopleSoft FSCM v9.2 PUM 40 or above with Fluid technology.  Working experience with PeopleTools v8.56.
• 3-5 years of expert programming experience with PeopleSoft Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, FLUID development, Integration Broker, Approval Workflow, BI Publisher, Component Interface, Security, Batch process, XML publisher, and SQR.
• 3-5 years of experience with implementation, design and customization for PeopleSoft FSCM modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, and Treasury modules.  Experience developing for data conversion, reports, processes, interfaces and integrations.
• Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades including application upgrade and tools upgrade.  Working knowledge in retrofitting.
• Strong SQL skills, thorough understanding of relational databases, basic understanding Oracle and Microsoft SQL server database architecture
• Experience with Automated Testing Tools is a plus
• Understands and can speak to all aspects of the software development life cycle
• Working knowledge of project management concepts, tools, and techniques.  Comfortable working within the parameters of a project methodology. Experience with Agile methodology.
