We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Vice President of Cloud Transformation and Operations with extensive experience in Microsoft Azure. This leadership role will be instrumental in driving the strategic planning, execution, and management of our organization's migration, optimization, and operational excellence on the Azure cloud platform. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of Azure technologies, a proven track record of overseeing large-scale transformations, and a passion for innovation.


Azure Cloud Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop a comprehensive Azure cloud strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives, focusing on innovation, agility, and cost optimization.
  • Lead the evaluation of existing infrastructure and applications, identifying opportunities for migration, consolidation, and modernization.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define a clear roadmap for the organization's

Azure cloud transformation journey.

  • Drive the design and architecture of scalable, resilient, and secure Azure-based solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise in selecting appropriate Azure-based services, ensuring optimal utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Partner with Information Security to establish best practices for Azure security, compliance, and disaster recovery.

 Migration and Implementation:

  • Oversee the seamless migration of on-premises workloads and applications to Azure, managing risks and minimizing disruptions.
  • Define migration strategies, conduct impact assessments, and lead execution to ensure successful cutover.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to refactor applications for Azure PaaS and IaaS deployment models.

 Azure Cloud Operations and Management:

  • Develop and maintain operational frameworks for Azure cloud services, including monitoring, performance optimization, and cost management.
  • Lead incident response and problem-solving efforts, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact on operations.
  • Implement and promote automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices for efficient cloud operations.

 Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of Azure cloud architects, engineers, and operations specialists.
  • Provide strategic direction, coaching, and growth opportunities to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Drive skill development initiatives and Azure certification programs to enhance the team's proficiency.

Vendor Relationships and Stakeholder Engagement:

Azure Architecture and Solution Design:

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with Microsoft Azure representatives and other cloud partners.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure Azure initiatives align with business goals.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and achievements to executive leadership and the broader organization


  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in computer science, engineering, business, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in cloud architecture, migration, and operations, with a deep focus on Microsoft Azure. (must)
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale Azure cloud transformation projects. (must)
  • In-depth expertise in Azure services, including Azure VMs, Azure App Service, Azure Monitor, Azure SQL Databases, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), serverless computing, etc. (must)
  • In depth experience with DevOps/DevSecOps services and practices in the Azure environment, including CICD pipelines, blue-green deployments, canary testing, code scanning, regression suite enablement, and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Experience managing 15 to 20 people team sizes.
  • Strong understanding of Azure governance, security, compliance, and identity management.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a history of building and nurturing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
  • 3+ years’ experience with microservices and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, AKS, etc.).
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workloads to focus on delivery of solutions across a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive and produce results with little or no supervision in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to interact seamlessly at all levels with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service focus and sense of urgency.
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn modern technologies and systems.
  • Ability to balance the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions and organization goals.
