Responsibilities

This role resides in the Underwriting Product Innovation department and is integral to Nautilus' success as we grow our business profitably.  The Product Innovation department creates and manages underwriting guidelines, forms, filings, and underwriting tools that drive the business.  This role will be responsible for delivering consistency in our underwriting guidelines and will be called on to assist in many aspects of product development and implementation. This may include eGuide changes, maintain formatting in eGuide, forms lists and assist with form implementation in various platforms.  Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet searches, use of vendors such as Vertafore, Umbraco, and Azure Dev Ops will be helpful. Successful candidates will be detail oriented and organized.  The role involves working on multiple tasks with high priority deadlines using systems and product knowledge.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain formatting for the eGuide.
  • Facilitate formatting content updates and enhancements for the eGuide regarding underwriting guidelines.
  • Verify and maintain ISO related standards within company parameters
  • Prepare requested eGuide documents for product development changes.
  • Prepare provided eGuide Release Notes and document the review and approval process for each release.
  • Responsible for maintaining processes and procedures for eGuide formatting.
  • Responsible for maintaining active website links within the eGuide.
  • Draft DevOps ticket, verify ticket is ready to deploy, and verify track changes match the testing platform once changes are implemented.
  • Compare form attachments from eGuide pages to The ONE to promote accuracy.
  • Perform peer reviews and proofing of team members work.
  • Troubleshoot form / eGuide related inquiries including research and documenting resolution.
  • Assist with tasks related to Quarterly Form Release in various platforms
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

In coordination with other departments, manage product development change requests and related tasks.

 

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in a professional environment
  • Some Property and Casualty Insurance knowledge preferred
  • Self-motivated and results oriented
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong typing skills with high accuracy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Capable of critical thinking and problem solving
  • Capable of working with internal and external teams and partners
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with management and staff to further the company’s mission
  • Ability to meet deadlines, determine priorities, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities as needed
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • College experience
  • Insurance – related experience or training to include basic knowledge of insurance preferred
