The Network Engineer will assist in the development and maintenance of network communications. Applying knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks. Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Should be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.


  • Configure and Manage Remote Offices and Data Center Networks.
  • Monitor Network Alerts and Problems. Troubleshoot Networking problems.
  • Document Network topology and documentation
  • Second Level Help Desk support for networking problems.
  • Participate in team on-call rotation
  • CUIC (call center) report creation and support
  • CUCM/CUC server maintenance & support
  • UCCX auto attendant/call center design/creation and support/maintenance
  • System level programming / scripting on an adhoc basis is a plus
  • Demonstrate a robust understanding of all functional and technical aspects of a system.
  • Strong customer service focus and sense of urgency
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills.  
  • Collaborate with System Administration teams to deploy best practices and stewardship of resources.
  • Track all work assigned, complete projects based on an agreed timeline; generate a weekly status report of activities, issues and opportunities.
  • Monitor trouble ticket queues, assess work effort, appropriately prioritize work based on business impact
  • Coordinate the work of outside vendors to insure project requirements and timelines are met.  
  • Document changes to the network in accordance with established change control practices.
  • Research technology and define / promote solutions to solve business problems and/or reduce costs in the area of Data Center, IT Security, Firewalls, Remote Access, and voice / data communications.


  • 5 years of Network engineering experience in a midsize to large environment.
  • Expert level network architecture for both voice and data transports.
  • 3 years Data Center / Network Engineering experience.
  • Cloud Network administration certification Azure preferred
  • Experience managing a WAN using the Internet / MPLS technology.
  • Experience with end to end CiscoVOIP technology.
  • Advanced network packet capture analysis abilities.
  • Systems: Cisco VPN/ASA, Wireless Controllers.
  • Networking: Switches, Routers, Servers, Load Balancers, Monitoring, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, VoIP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, DMVPN, MPLS
  • BA in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certifications are preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated and remain fully vaccinated against COVID-19. *, unless prohibited by law.
