The Commercial Auto Property Damage Claims Adjuster investigates, evaluates, reserves, negotiates and resolves auto damage claims in multiple jurisdictions and in accordance with Best Practices.  S/he provides quality claim handling and superior customer service on assigned claims, while engaging in indemnity & expense management.  This includes promptly managing claims by completing essential functions including contacts, investigations, damages developments, evaluations, reserving and dispositioning.  Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop action plans and handle claims from assignment to early conclusion. 
• Review incoming mail daily, responding as needed to bring the claim to a prompt fair conclusion and seeking supervision as needed. 
• Prepare loss reports as needed to include updated action plan and recommended reserves.  Maintain a current diary on outstanding claims. 
• Meet or exceed specific objectives for service, quality, and reserving standards and other measurable performance items.  

• BA/BS degree preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a commercial Auto Property damage claims handling.
• Proven ability to identify and address coverage issues, complete investigations to determine exposure, set timely reserves, and develop detailed action plans. 
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 
• Knowledge of litigated claims and tort law ideal. 
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite of products required.
• Experience working with Guidewire and other claims related systems or the ability to learn them required.
• Able to travel as needed on an infrequent basis both locally and at times overnight
