BerkleyNet Underwriters is currently looking for candidates for the position of Senior Actuarial Analyst. This position will report to the managing actuary and will encompass a broad range of responsibilities including

  • Reserve reviews
  • Rate filing support
  • Predictive modeling
  • Presenting actuarial analyses to company leadership

Education & Experience

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related field
  • Passed at least 4 CAS actuarial exams, including Exam 5
  • 3 or more years of Property/Casualty actuarial experience

Skills Requirements

  • Programming ability in R and/or Python
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Solid grasp of actuarial reserving techniques
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Automation of repetitive tasks through programming
  • Familiarity with MS Excel & Word
  • Comfort working with and organizing large data sets

Physical Demands
