The  Tableau Developer is responsible for creating reports and data analytics solutions for our business users. The successful candidate will ensure that our stakeholders have the information and reporting tools needed to support our business process.  In addition, you will be working closely business analysts to understand the business client reporting requests and with the rest of development team to ensure that reports, dashboards, queries perform efficiently and are accurate.

• Implement and support Tableau solutions for the organization.
• Gather business requirements, develop logical solutions, assess implementation alternatives and formulate overall design approaches.
• Work closely with key business stakeholders across all business functions to determine the best solution possible.
• Gather, store and model the data for analytics and reporting purposes.
• Responsible for the design and development of Tableau Visuals.
• To create and maintain technical designs and specifications of reports and dashboards.
• To create functional conceptual mock-ups of reports and dashboards.
• Assist with the performance testing of reports, dashboards, and queries.
• Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

• Able to work within an Agile SDLC (Kanban, Scrum, Etc.)

• Language Skills: Verbal and written English language proficiency. Ability to read analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedure, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write report, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or similar) or equivalent work experience.
• 3- 5+ of proven Tableau development experience required with creating dashboards and reports.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL language
• Insurance Industry experience preferred
• Proven working database knowledge
• Ability to communicate well in all settings

Working conditions

• Must be able to tolerate frequent disruptions in a highly collaborative work environment.
• Some travel may be required but is limited.
• Able to work outside of normal business hours when called upon.
• Able and willing to participate in an on-call rotation.

Physical requirements

• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
