    The Digital Marketing Specialist works as part of the Marketing Communications Team to plan, create and execute integral marketing activities. This position creates and executes the company’s digital marketing strategy by gathering, writing, and deploying content and creative to increase customer awareness and engagement that is executed on multiple media platforms. The role measures and analyzes results for continuous improvement.

     

    Overall responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Plans, designs and executes social media plans/digital marketing campaigns for each of Berkley Alliance Managers (BAM) businesses
    • Searches for relevant professional liability insurance news for various BAM entities (using RSS feeds, Google Alerts, etc.) and posts to social media as appropriate
    • Analyzes the analytics of social media efforts and develops strategies to improve engagement with targeted audiences
    • Updates content on all BAM websites, recommends SEO updates
    • Uses Google analytics to provide timely reporting of website trends
    • Assists with the creation and execution of compelling marketing campaigns to grab the customers’ attention and interest and ensures consistent messaging across multiple media platforms, including social media, email, websites, direct mail, marketing collateral and videos, etc.
    • Ensures all communications are consistent with brand guidelines and cultural voice
    • Updates the Marketing Communications intranet page
    • Coordinates and implements a wide range of marketing and communications processes and projects consistent with overall company marketing communications objectives
    • Assists in creating and updating PowerPoint presentations as needed for all BAM businesses
    • Assists in planning or executing various BAM events as requested

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design or related field of study
    • Three or more years’ professional experience in marketing, communications, social media, public relations, digital content development or a similar role
    • Experience creating and maintaining a social media presence for a company
    • Expert knowledge of Hootsuite or other social media management platform
    • Experience creating and editing video content
    • Expert knowledge of WordPress or other website content management systems
    • Experience with SEO best practices and Google Analytics to track website usage
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
    • Proficient with Sales Force Marketing Cloud or other email marketing platform
    • Intermediate skills with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
    • Ability to balance creativity with detail orientation to deliver visually appealing, clear and concise communications
    • Strong skills in written and verbal communications, deadline management, self-motivation and a clear passion for technology and digital media
    • Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team player, comfortable interacting with all levels of the company
    • Strong organizational and project management skills including the ability to work on multiple projects and changing priorities
    • Ability to overcome obstacles with proven track record of creating innovative solutions
    • Limited travel may be required
