    The W.R. Berkley Corporation (WRBC) Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) led by the Chief Project Officer (CPO) is responsible to execute operations improvement, business integration, and corporate transformation initiatives that span multiple WRBC entities. The Project Manager - Business Services is part of the EPMO team and will report to the CPO.


    The Project Manager is responsible for leading and executing Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects, working closely with blended cross functional teams to lead and deliver projects through all phases of the Project Management Lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout. This position is also responsible for projects’ successful delivery, cost management, resource management, and risk management to meet the scope and objective deliverables set forth by the project sponsors. This includes but is not limited to developing project charters, progress reports, work breakdown structures, project plan, close-out reports and lessons learned.


    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Manage a portfolio of projects according to the standards and expectations of the EPMO.
    • Lead projects in deploying fit for purpose technology and process solutions.
    • Establish and execute project plans, risk management plans, other project governance processes and procedures.
    • Assess and resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered.
    • Oversee project allocation, scheduling, problem/conflict resolution and related project activities.
    • Responsible for operational and stage gate checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of the project.
    • Implement and administer program/project governance requirements.
    • Support development and reporting for effective and transparent project governance.
    • Ensure deliverables meet required quality standards.
    • Form strong relationships and works collaboratively across teams.
    • Use and continually develop leadership skills.




    Qualifications / Experience:

    • 7-10 years of technology consulting or other relevant industry experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, IT, or related field
    • 5 years of experience leading projects that included both analytical and technical components combined with change management and communications management in highly complex and matrix environments
    • Experience working with and managing multi-platform business intelligence, data warehousing / data mart, and data analytics projects in a large enterprise environment
    • Expertise in MS Project, creating and maintaining detailed project plans and schedules in an Agile and Waterfall environment
    • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence staff and management of internal and external IT partners
    • Able to travel 80 - 100%
    • PMP Certification preferred
