    The Regional Vice President is responsible for optimizing profitable growth over the long-term in an assigned geographic region. The Regional Vice President supports the organization’s mission, vision and values by exhibiting an innovative approach, responsiveness, collaboration, entrepreneurial spirit, accountability and personal responsibility. Performance includes demonstration of core competencies in the areas of leadership, critical thinking, client focus, analytics, problem solving and quality decision making. 


    The Regional Vice President cultivates new, and enhances existing, profitable long-term business relationships with independent agents and wholesale brokers in the assigned region. Responsibility includes all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving pre-determined production and profitability targets; business and market development; market research and planning; coordination with interdisciplinary teams.



    §  Serves as Regional Vice President of the assigned region; provides leadership in the areas of business development, marketing strategy, and client service

    §  Develops the annual regional business development plan and the strategies, tactics, and resources necessary to achieve and exceed regional objectives.

    §  Conducts market needs analyses among potential new business sectors to identify strategies for long term growth development.

    §  Builds regional teamwork; proactively communicates with regional associates on strategy, initiatives and results.

    §  Promotes the integrity of the Company’s client service model by elevating needs of independent agents and wholesale brokers throughout the region.

    §  Provides leadership and direction of the market research function in collaboration with the SVP Regional Operations.

    §  Utilizes Key Risk reporting tools and client relationship management software to track, measure and analyze performance.

    §  Ensures all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources.

    §  Provides input and support to the Company’s leadership in the development of programs, affiliations and partnership arrangements.

    §  Coordinates marketing efforts of independent agents and wholesale brokers to ensure alignment with strategic plans and objectives.

    §  Provides business development and marketing skills and expertise to the region by developing and mentoring a team capable of carrying out the necessary strategies and tactics.

    §  Actively participates in professional societies and activities related to the workers’ compensation industry.

    §  Contributes to other projects and duties as requested by leadership.





    §  Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or other relevant discipline.

    §  8+ years of experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in insurance business development, marketing, or underwriting.

    §  Must work effectively with independent agents, wholesalers, and senior-level leaders.

    §  Must have strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and sound business judgment and be capable of effectively communicating with a diverse range of individuals and teams.

    §  Strong aptitude for analyzing and translating data

    §  Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, and market research and planning in the workers’ compensation arena.


    §  Road Warrior – 70%+ travel required.
