    Responsibilities

    Basic Function and Scope: 

    The position entails scheduling monthly audit orders with outside vendors, as well as daily review of completed audit received from vendors on an account basis. Examine, analyze and validate vendor audit findings in compliance with State / NCCI regulations and prepare an exposure summarized report on an account basis. Audited policies includes Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Auto.

    Essential Functions: 

    • Generate work orders to order physical and mail audits using premium audit tracking system (PATS) for outside audit vendors and internal handling as per assigned guidelines
    • Timely and quality review, processing and handling of the premium audits and disputes for all lines of business in all states.
    • Research and resolve audit disputes, summarizing disputed findings and presenting to all of the involved parties, following regulated authority guidelines. Communicate both verbally and in writing with policyholders, producers, underwriters, and the operations unit. 
    • Respond to all telephone and e-mail inquiries as needed, initiating contact with insureds, producers, or auditors to request additional information required for completing an audit.
    • Serve as an audit liaison between audit vendors, insured, agents and internal staff members
    • Support audit team with state test audits and department mail box
    • Assist audit manager with process development / improvement and reporting as necessary
    • Additional tasks pertinent to the audit operation functions

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience:

    •  Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance / Business or equivalent work experience.
    •  Minimum 1 year of premium audit experience with carrier, audit vendor

    Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: 

    • Must possess strong math and accounting aptitude
    • Microsoft office proficient
    • Knowledge of property and casualty insurance
    • Demonstrated analysis, problem solving abilities, handling small to large complexity risks
    • Customer service oriented with ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and self-direction skills
    • Ability to communicate and resolve audit disputes with all levels in and outside of the organization in a timely manner
    • Ability to work independently and as a team
