    Responsibilities

    • Learn how our business works at all levels of the organization and customer base (internal, policyholders, agents, etc.)
    • Participate in planning the user experience for all aspects of our online presence
    • Take a leading role in developing our customer portal and future offerings
    • Develop and implement projects (research, sketch, code, test, roll out), involving stakeholders across the organization
    • Stay on top of trends and new technology - Identify future tools and strategy, and create the business case for adoption and implementation
    • Work closely with the IT and Marketing teams to manage timelines, resources and communication strategy

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 1-3 years of UX Development Experience
    • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 and ES6
    • Knowledge and implementation of responsive design
    • Ability to translate design artifacts into usable code.
    • Firm understanding of browser security and performance
    • Solid grasp of CI/CD pipeline and associated tooling
    • Must be able to work in a team oriented environment
    • Excellent communication skills with strong customer service commitment
    • Ability to work independently in an autonomous environment

     

     

                Preferred

     

    • Experience creating mobile and responsive design (strongly preferred)
    • Experience with user research, wireframing and personas
    • Active open source contribution
    • Experience with NPM and CLI
    • Implementation of reusable templates for template-based content
