    Responsibilities

    JOB FUNCTION:

    Assist in the production and maintenance of business by providing administrative support to the underwriting departments that is timely, efficient and representative of the high standards set by the company.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Underwriting Documents Processing

    • Accurate data entry of all new submissions on a daily basis, identifying lines of business and entering accurate information into the system.
    • Consult with individual Underwriter’s when necessary to ensure accurate submission entry.
    • Assist in attaching additional documents to submissions and/or policies.

    Reception Duties

    • Provide primary backup support to the receptionist, including answering phones and related telephone system functions as well as greeting visitors and providing hospitality.

    Office Services Duties

    ·         Assist in providing administrative support functions for the office services department including processing letters and memos, mail delivery, and delivery of mail and packages as needed

    Other Duties

    • Special projects as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE:

    • At least one year of general office experience required.
    • Must have a pleasant, positive attitude and professional demeanor.
    • Good written and oral communication skills are necessary.
    • Prior insurance and/or customer service experience is preferred.
    • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be customer service oriented; a team player; willing to learn; organized; detail oriented and flexible.
    • Able to accurately type 40 WPM is a minimum requirement; skills are tested.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
