    Responsibilities

    Technical Assistants are a shared resource among all Berkley FinSecure, Berkley Crime, and Berkley Asset Protection Underwriting Managers Lines of Business (incl. Claims) and act in the capacity of support staff as noted.

     

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Data entry/completion of all required fields and clearance of New Business Submission into Underwriting System and/or Clearance for all lines.
    • Data entry of New Business into BPM Workflow Management System for all lines.
    • Creation of Renewal Policy Folders in Underwriting System for all lines.
    • Creation of Renewal Instances into BPM Workflow Management System for all lines.
    • Generation of Loss Runs for all Renewal Accounts.
    • Creation and documentation of Fine Art Risk Meters for all New Business and Renewal accounts.
    • Data entry/completion of all required fields for new claims received into Claims Workstation.
    • Creation and distribution of Claims Acknowledgement Letter (to Broker).
    • Availability to aid in additional workflow processes when needed and subject to supervisor direction.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    • Recent Graduate with up to 2 years of experience. 
    • Attention to detail.
    • Functional understanding of all required systems and processes.
    • Professional communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
    • Willingness to learn.
    • Ability to multi-task.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly when necessary.
    • Excellent time management skills.

    Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university (preferred)
    • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other related programs.
