    This position requires working knowledge of infrastructure department workflow, infrastructure technology, and project management. The role’s primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely completion of information security strategic projects and coordination of with infrastructure and application development project managers.


    This role will be accountable for the management of multiple projects primarily involving infrastructure teams and will work in tandem with other project management resources to help ensure that BTS standards, policies, and procedures are followed accordingly. 



    Key Accountabilities

    • Development and standardization of work plans, project dependency mapping, organization of costs and labor, document lessons learned, communicate progress, and track/communicate/escalate issues, risks, and changes.
    • Delivering projects on time and on budget.
    • Setup and manipulation of projects in the Project Portfolio Management system.
    • Customer facing coordination and communication will be an essential requirement in order to be successful in predicting work plans and project delivery time lines.
    • Build and enhance relationships with internal application team partners, seeking to drive and foster collaboration and team work.
    • Consult or negotiate with technical team leads and other project management resources to define and prepare project costs and dependency mappings for resources. Confer with management, production, and engineering staff to discuss project and service delivery impacts to the business.
    • Has responsibility to comply with organizational standards, programs, systems, and policies.
    • Minimal travel time expected


    Required Experience


    • Experienced Project Management professional with strong background in Infrastructure and in a fortune 500 environment in the insurance or financial services industry.
    • Minimum 5+ year previous Project Management experience in at least one other company.
    • Demonstrated experience and ability to be able to manage and communicate multiple complex projects.
    • Ability to act, do and get things accomplished quickly with total autonomy.
    • Analytical, fact-based and the ability to synthesize and organize data/information.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively.
    • Excellent planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
    • Demonstrated project management skills with ability to drive cross-functional efforts.
    • Technical understanding of application lifecycle management (SDLC).
    • Understanding of Agile work environment.


    • Significant expertise, “power user” of Project Management software systems (Excel, Access and/or other relational data base software, MS Office Suite and MS Project, Project and Program Management, PPM valued.
    • Prior experience in shared financial service infrastructure environments. Strong conceptualization of structured technical delivery mechanisms and processes of internal infrastructure departments’ workflows.
    • Undergraduate BS degree preferred; PPM, PMP, Six Sigma or Related project management experience a plus.
