Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst will focus on both short- and long-term financial results by building and monitoring relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing financial performance, and supporting the execution of departmental strategies and initiatives.

 

  • Analyze and compare monthly and quarterly results, metrics, and key performance indicators against plan and other benchmarks.
  • Execute the department’s strategies and key initiatives through special projects as assigned.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to uncover behavioral patterns within agency operations and enhance performance across key metrics.
  • Collaborate throughout the organization to improve overall efficiencies.
  • Perform month-end close activities and related entries and reconciliations within established deadlines.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines throughout the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Perform detailed analysis of internal financial data, including profit and loss statements, financial reports, revenues, direct expenses, and commissions.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and dashboards to support forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with business units to provide financial guidance and support for operational and strategic decisions.
  • Evaluate external and internal intelligence to provide actionable insight into the current market landscape.
  • Maintain Power BI reports for accuracy, quality, and relevance.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business functions.
  • Skilled in interpreting data trends and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Highly organized and adept at managing time effectively in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrates initiative and curiosity, with a commitment to thorough research and problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and financial reporting systems such as Essbase, Hyperion, and Vena.

 

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting or finance, or comparable advanced professional education.
