Support the business in the development of new software applications, database analysis and application programming which align with the business goals and objectives, supporting internal and external business partner requirements; standardize the quality assurance procedure for software; oversee testing and resolve software defects; develop and maintain system documentation; investigate and reconcile system and workflow problems; assist in the design, engineering, implementation and support of information systems.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology preferred or prior commensurate experience/training
TECHNOLOGY PROFICIENCY:
Fundamental working knowledge of C# (MVC), ASP.NET, AJAX, Web Services, SOA, HTML, CSS, HTTP, Javascript, JSON, JQUERY, XML, Microsoft SharePoint, Team Foundation Server, SQL Server, SQL Reporting and Analysis Services, Visual Studio, DB2, C+, Data Modeling, Web Browsers, Data Management, Security, and Administration, Internet Technologies, software development practices and processes including but not limited to the Microsoft set Products and development tools. Knowledgeable in the usage and support of various other standard desktop and server applications in support of the property and casualty insurance business professional. Proficient in various types of computer and communication technological hardware.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience: software development, platform migration and deployments, software installation and configuration, source control management processes, and maintenance and support of the above mentioned Microsoft technologies and platforms. Change and problem management practices, processes and procedures as defined within ITIL, Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery, Physical and Data Security.
