Responsibilities

Executive / Senior Underwriter – Allied Healthcare Excess

Are you a seasoned underwriting professional with deep expertise in Allied Healthcare Excess liability? We’re looking for a high-performing Executive/Senior Underwriter to join our team and play a critical role in driving profitable growth and strengthening broker partnerships.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow a profitable book of Allied Healthcare Excess business
  • Underwrite complex primary and excess risks across E&S lines
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale brokers
  • Serve as a technical expert on coverage, pricing, and underwriting strategy
  • Lead underwriting activities including new business, renewals, and pricing
  • Identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities to enhance portfolio performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (claims, product, leadership) to inform decisions
  • Mentor and coach junior underwriters and contribute to team development

Qualifications

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of Allied Healthcare liability underwriting experience
  • Strong background in Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines and wholesale distribution
  • Expertise in Allied Healthcare Excess business
  • Proven ability to drive profitable growth and broker engagement
  • Advanced selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Leadership experience with a passion for mentoring others

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree (Risk Management preferred)
  • CPCU, ASLI, AU, or similar designations
