The Senior Operations Analyst plays a critical role in advancing this evolution by designing, implementing, and governing modern operational processes that are scalable, well-controlled, and insight driven.

This role addresses current gaps in end-to-end process ownership, analytics-driven decisioning, and sustainable adoption of new tools, ensuring that operational enhancements are executed effectively and embedded into day-to-day operations.

Operations 2.0 & Process Modernization

  • Lead analysis, design, and implementation of future-state operational processes aligned to Berkley Select’s underwriting and service model.

  • Own process documentation, including workflows, procedures, and control mappings.

Analytics, Automation & AI Enablement

  • Partner with Technology and Business teams to implement automation and AI-enabled solutions (e.g., workflow automation, document processing, decision-support tools).
  • Evaluate operational readiness, risk implications, and control requirements related to AI-supported processes.
  • Use data and analytical insights to identify trends, capacity constraints, and improvement opportunities.

Performance Management & Insights

  • Develop and maintain operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting to monitor throughput, quality, service levels, and risk.
  • Translate operational data into clear insights and recommendations for leadership.
  • Support forecasting and capacity planning using data-driven approaches.

Risk, Controls & Governance

  • Ensure new and existing processes are designed with appropriate controls to meet internal risk management and audit expectations.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams on control testing, issue remediation, and documentation.
  • Proactively identify operational risks associated with growth, process changes, and technology adoption.

Stakeholder Partnership & Change Enablement

  • Serve as a key liaison between Operations, Underwriting, Technology, Risk, and Finance.
  • Support change management efforts, including training materials, job aids, and adoption monitoring.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during pilots, rollouts, and post‑implementation reviews.

  • Continuously develop skills in data literacy, automation, and analytical techniques to support future operational needs.
  • Contribute to shaping best practices for the responsible use of AI within Berkley Select Operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, process improvement, analytics, or operational risk.
  • Experience supporting operational change or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience documenting and improving end-to-end business processes.

Preferred

  • Exposure to automation, AI-enabled tools, or advanced analytics in an operational context.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Visio, or similar platforms.
