Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst will manage prepaid and fixed asset accounting activities, including transaction processing, depreciation and reconciliation, business unit support, tax and compliance assistance, vendor maintenance, and participation in special projects.

 

• Code prepaid and fixed asset purchase, sale and retirement transactions in the fixed asset system.
• Record distributions of laptops to business units from the BTS WIP inventory.
• Post fixed asset depreciation allocation to business units.
• Complete monthly prepaid and fixed asset reconciliations including:
o Reconciliation of fixed asset ledger to general ledger
o Reconciliation of prepaid detail to general ledger
o Reconciliation of fixed asset and prepaid clearing accounts to general ledger.
• Communicate with business unit personnel to respond to questions and issues regarding prepaid and fixed asset activity
• Assist WRBC corporate tax personnel with requests for fixed asset and depreciation reports.
• Assist with the 1099 compliance procedures including: IRS TIN matching, duplicate supplier consolidation, and withholding mismatch report research.
• Perform vendor update in a back-up role to facilitate timely vendor changes as needed
• Maintain effective workflow processes to accomplish objectives of the position
• Participate in special projects as required

Qualifications

• Advanced skills in Excel and Oracle reporting with the ability to analyze results.
• Competencies in Microsoft Excel, Word, & Outlook with exposure to automated, complex ledger systems.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to schedule tasks and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of associates with responsive suggestions and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.

 

Education Requirement:

 

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting from four year college or university.
