Responsibilities

The Implementation Manager serves as a strategic driver for translating business objectives into actionable delivery plans that enable embedded insurance solutions. This role ensures alignment across internal teams, partners, and vendors, managing complex, multi-release initiatives to achieve scalable, customer-centric outcomes. Acting as a bridge between business and technology, the Implementation Manager combines strong leadership, agile practices, and risk management to deliver solutions that support Berkley Embedded Solutions’ mission of seamless, integrated protection.

We'll count on you to:

  • Translate business strategy into actionable implementation plans with defined objectives, dependencies, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain multi release and multi year delivery strategies that balance short term execution with long term scalability and transformation goals.
  • Ensure strategic alignment across partners, vendors, and internal teams to drive unified and consistent delivery outcome
  • Monitor delivery performance against key milestones and KPIs, adjusting plans to meet evolving business needs and constraints
  • Lead discussions and requirements elicitation sessions with business and technology partners to define, validate, document and understand detailed requirements, priorities, impacts, objectives, and other insights
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate strategic risks across programs and implementations, ensuring proactive issue resolution and impact management
  • Act as consultative team member with peers, business partners and vendors in planning, organizing, preparing and executing on initiatives
  • Create and refine the backlog, document stories, develop test plans, perform user acceptance testing, and solutions broken-down in releases and sprints using an Agile Project Methodology
  • Build a detailed understanding of the business to identify needs and address critical business issues.
  • Play a key role in clarifying, updating, testing and improving the business processes impacted by technology systems, applications, and changes.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • 7+ years of product development or project management experience in agile environments.

  • Insurance knowledge, with strong D2C and B2B2C, preferred.

  • Understanding of Product Governance and other relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Strong leadership and team organization skills.

  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, humility, credibility, and a commitment to the overall corporate mission.

  • Proven record of managing complex work involving various work streams and cross-functional teams.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to navigate ambiguity, while keeping a focus on strategic outcomes; ability to ‘put things into perspective’ and translate IT concepts for team and stakeholders.

  • Ability to establish trust-based relationships with senior leaders and serve as a thought partner with business teams.

  • Mastery of wide range of product management and design thinking techniques and tools such as customer journey maps, blueprints, vision workshops, and roadmaps.

  • Keen sense of empathy for the user and a champion of user-centric design.

  • Growth mindset, always looking to improve self, the work of the team and able to adapt to the culture of the organization.

  • Communication skills (written and verbal) that reflect structured, clear, and objective thinking.

  • Ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences to enable business outcomes through technology.

  • Demonstrates ability and a proven record of success in insurance business applications such as policy administration, claim management, customer billing, agency/customer portals, reinsurance, enterprise data warehouse, and document management systems.

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees which for this role include:
• Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $155,000
• Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus.
• Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Wellness, Paid Time Off, 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plans.

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
