Responsibilities

The Strategic Financial Analyst II – Enterprise Analytics operates at the intersection of finance and data, driving business performance through advanced analytics, digitalization, and technical expertise. This role serves as a key business partner to Finance, Underwriting, and Distribution leadership by building scalable data solutions, financial models, and dashboards that enable data-driven decision making.

 

The candidate must sit out of the High Point, NC office.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in migrating legacy SQL and Excel processes into a modern cloud-based data environment (Databricks)
  • Enhance and automate recurring financial reporting and month-end close activities using modern tools
  • Analyze P&L and balance sheet performance, performing variance analysis to explain business results
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards supporting Finance, Underwriting, and Distribution performance
  • Conduct Underwriting and Distribution analytics related to profitability, pricing, and production, identifying key drivers and opportunities
  • Support forecasting and planning processes through data modeling and scenario analysis
  • Maintain enterprise data integrity and support internal/external audit processes
  • Document assumptions, methodologies, and KPI definitions to support transparency and auditability

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Data Science, or related field
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with Power BI and DAX (or equivalent BI tools) and strong Excel skills
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, ETL, data warehouse design)
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex data for non-technical stakeholders
  • Bias for action, attention to detail, and comfortable navigating ambiguity

 Preferred Experience

  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Azure
  • Experience in predictive analytics, automation, and finance transformation

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business (Analytics, MIS, or similar concentration), or related field.
