Responsibilities

Responsible for accurate and timely processing of endorsements, new business, cancellations, renewals and non-renewals at the direction of the Underwriting staff.

 

Specific Duties

  • Prepare renewals, workbooks, and schedules and complete associated tasks
  • Issue new and renewal policies and complete associated tasks
  • Monitor and timely process cancellations and non-renewals
  • Process endorsements
  • Triage and respond to Agent Inquiries
  • Process non-payment of premium related Cancellations and Reinstatements
  • Discuss and resolve policy billing questions with Finance and clients
  • Process Agent Changes & associated tasks
  • Manage client contact database
  • Review Month End Credit and Refund report
  • Maintain Online Forms and update client portals
  • Operate according to underwriting authority as delegated by manager
  • Maintain assigned program(s) form manuals
  • Maintain and update files for underwriting reviews
  • May handle a book of renewal business depending upon experience

May perform other functions as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong service orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Phenomenal attention to detail
  • Excellent PC skills and a working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to prioritize work with varying deadlines
  • Ability to maintain composure under tight deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to focus on independent work
  • Teamwork alignment

Education 

  • High School Degree or GED

  • Experience in commercial lines rating and or underwriting preferred
