This role will be based in the Irving, Texas office.


We offer a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office (M-Th) ; and 1 day remote (Fr) where it makes sense to do so.

Responsibilities

Berkley Southwest seeks a Human Resources Intern to support strategic initiatives and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. This internship targets students in their final year of study. Strong potential for full-time employment post-graduation. Key Functions will include but are not limited to:

  • Support performance management cycles. Assist with goal tracking. Contribute to development planning.
  • Participate in talent reviews. Help coordinate leadership development nominations.
  • Assist with culture-building efforts. Promote engagement through targeted initiatives.
  • Gather HR data. Interpret metrics. Support data-driven decision-making.
  • Shadow employee relations processes. Document cases. Ensure policy alignment.
  • Facilitate onboarding, check-ins, offboarding. Update HRIS. Maintain administrative accuracy.
  • Contribute to the HR Innovation Initiative. Share ideas. Coordinate community efforts.
  • Help plan employee events. Support training logistics. Execute recognition activities.
  • Assist with special projects. Align efforts with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong interest in strategic HR, talent development, organizational culture
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
  • Discreet with sensitive information
  • Analytical mindset. Eager to learn HR systems. Workday experience preferred
  • Flexible. Proactive. Collaborative
