Responsibilities

As a Product Manager for Data Platforms, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of data-centric products and processes that support internal stakeholders across the Alternative Markets Segment. This role focuses on enabling data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency by leveraging modern data platforms and collaborating with cross-functional teams including the BDW and DNA teams.

 

You will serve as a key liaison between business units and technical teams, ensuring that data platform capabilities align with business needs and strategic goals. This includes working closely with engineering, analytics, and business operations to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.

 

  • Define and evolve the product vision for data platforms and data-driven capabilities across the Alternative Markets Segment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand data needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with BDW, DNA, and business stakeholders to leverage the Modern Data Platform and ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture.
  • Prioritize and manage product backlogs focused on data ingestion, transformation, governance, reporting, and accessibility.
  • Establish and monitor OKRs related to data platform performance, reporting, adoption, and business impact.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment through regular reviews, stakeholder engagement, and transparent communication.
  • Advocate for data quality, security, and compliance across all platform initiatives.
  • Continuously assess and improve data platform capabilities to support evolving business needs.
  • Say no when necessary to maintain focus on high-impact initiatives and long-term value creation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing data platform products or data-centric software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, and modern data technologies (e.g., cloud data warehouses, ETL pipelines, data lakes).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including data engineering, analytics, and business operations.
  • Familiarity with internal stakeholder engagement and enterprise data strategy.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and serving as a product owner for technical teams.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and computing fundamentals (preferred).
  • Knowledge of business intelligence and enterprise reporting (preferred).

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred, especially in Data Analytics, Product Management, or Business Administration (MBA).
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Product Manager (CPM), or data governance/data platform certifications (e.g., DAMA, CDMP) are a plus.
