Responsibilities

About the Role:
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow your career in the insurance and surety industry? We’re looking for a Surety Operations Support Specialist to join our team and provide essential technical, administrative, and underwriting support to our field offices. This is a great opportunity to develop a foundational understanding of the surety business while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update account submissions and bond-related data in our BASIS system.
  • Prepare bid and final bond requests for underwriter review and approval.
  • Ensure accurate processing of final bonds, including data entry, premium and commission validation, and documentation.
  • Support the pre-renewal and renewal processes to ensure timely bond management.
  • Manage diary systems and generate bond status inquiries as needed.
  • Utilize BSG Rating Manuals and worksheets to support accurate premium calculations.
  • Order credit and Dun & Bradstreet reports to assist underwriters.
  • Handle incoming mail and billing inquiries from agents and brokers.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an operational support or customer service role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internal systems.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
