Responsibilities

Are you looking to expand your insurance knowledge and gain some hands on experience in the business world? Are you dedicated, hardworking and tend to think outside of the box? Then this quite possibly may be the opportunity for you!

This role will give you an optimal intern experience in our Environmental IT department. You will be able to work directly with our IT team and gain valuable experience. 

 

Intern responsibilities:

o   Data Collection and Cleaning: Gather, preprocess, and clean data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.

o   Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

o   Documentation: Document processes, methodologies, and code to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing.

o   Collaboration: Work closely with the ENV data team, analysts, and other team members to support ongoing projects.

o   Research: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data science and machine learning.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a 4 year university
  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees which for this role include:
• Base Salary Range: $16/hr-$20/hr
• Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus.
• Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Wellness, Paid Time Off, 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plans.

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
