Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Manager to join our team! This role will serve as a strategic partner to the business and driver of technical learning solutions which support our pursuit of a profitable portfolio and talent development goals. You will collaborate with business leaders to understand technical objectives, emerging risk and exposure, and align learning strategies to support those goals.

Key functions include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct a thorough analysis to determine, catalog and prioritize technical learning needs, focus, scope, and required resources that culminates in a comprehensive learning strategy for Berkley One:
    • Gather and synthesize information to make recommendations, gain stakeholder support, and influence important learning outcomes
    • Act as a trusted advisor on learning and development initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to drive performance
    • Conduct comprehensive training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and development opportunities
    • Develop and implement evaluation metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning programs
    • Leverage existing internal and external training resources
    • Manage consistent learning processes, procedures, and standards
    • Influence and implement actionable curriculum development which includes planning, designing, developing, outlining, and delivering or co-delivering

    • Monitor, evaluate, analyze, and report on effectiveness of learning solutions using data and metrics

    • Conduct learner assessments to validate training efficacy and learner satisfaction

    • Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery

  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging and innovative learning solutions using a variety of methodologies (e.g., instructor-led, e-learning, blended learning)

  • Continuously gather information relative to emerging needs and update learning strategy as appropriate

  • LMS management including administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, delivery of learning content

  • Perform administrative duties associated with program delivery (training room maintenance and set up, rosters, grading assessments, supply orders, conference room coordination)

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of learning initiatives, including planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting

  • Provide feedback on participant performance in class to managers and human resources partners

  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to gain comprehensive knowledge of the subject area being trained and ensures the development and validation of training content are reviewed and approved by the proper parties

  • Other duties, projects and initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience assessing learning needs, designing & building, sourcing & outsourcing, and delivering learning (live and remotely) in a high growth business environment
  • Experience consulting with business partners and SME’s to identify learning needs and collaboratively build learning deliverables
  • Thorough knowledge of learning delivery methodologies
  • Experience in and knowledge of High Net Worth/Personal Lines preferred
  • Experience contributing on a high performing learning & development team in a high-growth, fast-paced environment; you are an outstanding collaborator
  • Incredible empathy and understanding of the development needs of employees; an excellent, pro-active advocate for Berkley One employees, passionate about their learning experience, and committed to helping them realize their career aspirations
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, a communication style that is flexible to the situation, able to communicate clearly and with a purpose

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees including:

• Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $140,000
• Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus
• Benefits include: Health, dental, vision, dental, life, disability, wellness, paid time off, 401(k) and profit-sharing plans

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
