Responsibilities

This position involves leading advanced business analysis using various sophisticated techniques.

 

The Senior Analyst will research best practices and spearhead the development of innovative solution recommendations for current business operations. They will collaborate with internal and external customers to identify complex analytical requirements, transforming data into critical information and knowledge for strategic business decisions.

 

Ensuring the highest standards of data accuracy, congruence, and reliability is essential, so data is readily available for direct consumption or integration with other systems.

 

The role also includes conducting in-depth analyses of functional business processes and requirements and driving the development of business cases to support process enhancements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support production underwriting and distribution teams.
  • Run month-end reports and manage regularly scheduled and ad-hoc reports.
  • Ensure the highest standards of data accuracy, congruence, and reliability.
  • Convert complex data sets into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of functional business processes and requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to identify advanced analytical needs.
  • Drive the development of business cases to support significant process changes.
  • Document processes and methodologies to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.

Individual Contributor Focus:

  • Independently manage and execute data analysis projects.
  • Develop and maintain reporting systems and dashboards.
  • Continuously improve data quality and reporting accuracy.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence.

May perform other functions as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data or science related field required.
  • Insurance industry knowledge and experience a bonus.
  • 5-10 years relevant professional analytic experience required.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, pivot tables, data mining, SQL, and report generation.
  • Strong familiarity with PowerBI is a significant bonus.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of how data supports key business processes.
  • Capability to delve into the source, definition, philosophy, and foundational roots of data elements.
  • Proven track record of working independently with initiative and driving results.
  • A proactive self-starter who is comfortable working independently.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Works effectively within a distributed team environment.
