Responsibilities

The Director, Portfolio and Change Management role works across all Admiral functions and is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's portfolio of (non-IT) projects and programs.  Individual will also be responsible for guiding and managing the change management process to ensure business goals are achieved with minimal disruption.  This role involves strategic planning, change management, resource allocation, risk management, and ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership and change management skills, and the ability to drive successful project outcomes.

 

  • Along with the Strategic Pillar Owners, drives the overall effective execution of the portfolio of projects that support Admiral’s strategic pillars.  Includes planning, execution, resourcing, delivery and risk identification and mitigation.
  • Manages shared resource allocation and capacity planning to optimize project execution.
  • Monitor and facilitate the reporting on project progress, performance and outcomes to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Lead and mentor project manager in daily activities in support of the function.
  • Design and implement change management strategies that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance.
  • Assesses change readiness and develops and delivers training programs to address gaps.
  • Works with the strategic pillar owners to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
  • Monitors and measures impact of change including adoption rates and changes in employee behavior and attitudes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Organizational Development or related field.
  • At least 10 years' relevant experience with minimum 5 years of experience in the insurance and E&S sector.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with a keen focus on execution.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Demonstrated results in organizational process change management. 
  • Strong communication and leadership management skills.
  • Proactive, meticulous and able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Self-driven, resourceful, collaborative with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and data management tools.
