Responsibilities

The Policy Services Coordinator supports the underwriting department by preparing policy documents, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves coordinating with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve issues and ensure seamless service delivery. The specialist also supports agency appointments and licensing, ensures compliance with policies and regulations, participates in system testing and process improvements, and engages in training programs to develop underwriting skills.

  • Prepare policy documents for underwriter and agent review.
  • Ensure accurate and timely rating, booking and issuance of new business, endorsement, cancellation and renewal transactions.
  • Provide timely and professional customer service to internal staff, communicating as needed to gather required information and responding timely to inquiries.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve complex issues
  • Answer questions and resolve issues related to policy status and billing.
  • Serve as a liaison with third-party policy services vendors, both internal and external, to ensure seamless integration and service delivery.
  • Work with vendors to resolve any issues and ensure compliance with service agreements.
  • Order and review underwriting reports as needed.
  • Support the agency appointment set up and licensing process.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain required reports and documentation.
  • Daily communication with Operations and Underwriting staff
  • Test system applications to support business initiatives from start to completion/deployment.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to policy administration processes.
  • Participate in training programs to develop underwriting knowledge and skills.

May perform other functions as assigned

Education 

  • High school diploma or equivalent

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees including:
• Base Salary Range: $39k - $50k

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
