Responsibilities

As a QA & Ops Intern, you will acquire and develop knowledge in worker’s compensation insurance, technology, assisting in reviewing, testing and implementing data releases from our underwriting and claims systems.

 

The 10-week summer internship program provides emerging talent with hands-on experience with the commercial insurance industry, enabling you with skills to be successful going forward. Key functions include: 

  • Assist in testing system enhancements and review annual rate adjustments and other system related releases.
  • Work on specific projects where they have defined tasks and learn from each one 
  • Gain experience by maintaining a corporate brand presence and learning best practices
  • Learn worker’s compensation industry systems, processes and procedures
  • Maintain regulatory reporting documentation for internal and external audiences.
  • Work with corporate Shared Services group on rates, rules and forms, filing updates.
  • Collaborate with Bamtech teams to ensure proper system performance & prioritization of system enhancements to support the compliance function.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement, innovation, and opportunities for efficiency and synergy within team.
  • Gather experience that could convert to a full-time position upon graduation.  

 

Qualifications

  • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills, Microsoft Office knowledge, professional demeanor  
  • Effective analytical skills to gather information; ability to analyze data, draw conclusions 
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work  
  • Ability to function independently and follow instructions well 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree candidates in their Junior or Senior years whose chosen career path is in insurance, technology, or business administration.
