Responsibilities

The Manager, Clearance will lead and direct the Clearance Team and their team’s activities for all lines of business, ensuring effective delivery of service to all levels of internal and external customers.

 

  • Leads and directs the work activities of the Clearance Team, including the performance and development of staff in accordance with Admiral’s strategic direction.
  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external customers across all lines of business.
  • Resolves any escalated Clearance issues/errors in an expedited manner.
  • Manages and supports for all Clearance systems and workflows to ensure daily SLAs are met and/or exceeded.
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers to review service level agreements and cultivate process improvement opportunities. Focuses on increased responsiveness, resolving issues and continuously raising the quality of work.
  • Alongside the VP, Underwriting Operations, determines any system enhancements, new systems needed, adjustments to headcount to allow the team to work more efficiently
  • Stays up to date on trends and developments within functional area of expertise as well as the insurance industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years Team Lead or Supervisory experience
  • Exceptional Leadership qualities with an emphasis on Inspirational Leadership, Integrity and Conflict Resolution
  • Strong knowledge of insurance industry, products, and operation environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to include coaching, technical writing, and presentation
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop clear business plans aligned with company strategy.
  • Proven capability to implement innovative solutions to outperform competition and drive profitability.
  • Experience working with underwriting platforms and software.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong background in Excel.
