As a Software Development Intern at Berkley Regional Shared Services (BRSS), you will support the continued evolution of a ReactJS web platform. On our team, you won’t be limited to the front-end or back-end; your role offers exposure to the full stack, helping you connect the requests we receive to the application features we build. As an Intern, you will:

·         Assume responsibility for software engineering tasks that deliver real value to customers

·         Have the satisfaction of turning product ideas into reality

·         Gain exposure to React (JavaScript Library), Next.js (React Framework), Tailwind (CSS Utility Framework), Jest (JavaScript Unit Testing Framework) and GraphQL, and learn how all of these technologies fit together to construct a robust business capabilities

·         Take an active role in scaled agile ceremonies, where your perspective will contribute to the success of the team

·         Learn how to triage and troubleshoot production support issues

·         Contribute innovative problem-solving approaches for rapid experimentation and tight feedback loops

·         Receive guidance from your engineering mentors

• Registered undergraduate student pursuing a major in a Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field
• At least two years of college or university coursework completed in a Computer Science discipline; MIS programs with an emphasis on programming are also applicable
• Experience with full-stack web development; React (preferred).
• Superior problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong customer service focus and sense of urgency
• Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and systems
• Prior related co-op, internship, and/or on or off-campus technical experience preferred but not required
