We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead the growth of our Management Liability and Professional Liability (with a focus on Lawyer Malpractice) product lines. The Management Liability portfolio includes Private Company Directors and Officers, Non-Profit Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Crime, and Fiduciary coverage. The position can be based in the New York metropolitan area, the state of Florida, Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL. This role presents an exciting ground floor opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to drive business development and form strong relationships within the industry, particularly by expanding our presence with retail and wholesale brokers.
Key Functions:
- Business Growth & Expansion: Proactively grow our Management Liability (Private Company D&O, Employment Practices Liability, Crime, Non-profit and Fiduciary) and Professional Liability programs within the assigned region. Identify new business opportunities and create innovative strategies to reach untapped markets.
- Sales Strategy Development: Design and execute a detailed, goal-oriented sales plan to establish new distribution channels and meet or exceed regional growth targets.
- High-Volume Submissions: Deliver a consistent volume of high-quality, qualified submissions across all product lines, ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines.
- Agency & Broker Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale, retail brokers, MGAs, and MGUs. Engage in agency planning and develop mutually beneficial strategies to drive production and growth.
- Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on competitive offerings, market trends, and emerging issues to strategically position our products.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership, including the CUO, Head of Marketing, and Underwriting teams, to foster a collaborative sales culture. Lead and influence the sales strategy within the region by leveraging team strengths.
- Agency Management: Negotiate agency appointments, distribution agreements, and ensure proper execution of contracts with key partners.
