Responsibilities

We are seeking an Underwriting Analyst - Quality and Training to oversee and improve the quality and compliance of our operational procedures, policies, and staff training programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing quality reviews, conducting audits, and providing technical assistance to improve performance and quality. This role also involves reviewing and updating policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines, as well as providing feedback on new regulatory guidance. Additionally, the Underwriting Analyst - Quality and Training will assess training needs, design training programs, and deliver training sessions across various formats.

 

  • Manage and conduct quality reviews to ensure adherence to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct a comprehensive review of the underwriting assistance files to verify their accuracy and completeness. Ensure that the files comply with procedural guidelines by evaluating risk exposure and processing policy transactions. Also, make sure that the files are well-maintained and organized and that all related documentation, including policy details, endorsements, and client information, is retained.
  • Provide technical assistance to center staff to improve performance and quality and make recommendations to enhance current procedures and processes to ensure compliance and performance goals are met.
  • Review performance data, including productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction, and provide technical assistance for identified areas of improvement.
  • Assess developmental needs quarterly, design and implement effective training programs, and deliver training sessions using relevant materials and formats.
  • Update and maintain the document control system and draft policy and procedure documentation for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience with insurance audits, quality, policy and procedure development.
  • Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
