The Underwriting Operations Intern will train with key team members to learn and participate in the process of underwriting and servicing of renewal accounts. The intern will provide general operations support to the Underwriting Department including the processing of binders, policies, endorsements, submissions and other client related correspondence for new and existing accounts.

 

• Supports underwriting through processing of endorsements and related correspondence.
• This temporary based position requires strong analysis skills applied in supporting and meeting service standards, objectives, and following Admiral’s underwriting guidelines.

 

The internship will also involve a collaborative group project with interns from other Admiral departments. Other duties and tasks to be assigned in conjunction with the overall internship experience over the course of approximately 10 weeks. 

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a focus in Risk Management and Insurance. Other majors are encouraged to apply.
• GPA of 3.0 and above is required.
• Rising Junior or Senior students welcome.
• Interest in enhancing classroom learning through practical career-related work experience within the industry.
• No related work experience required.
• Basic knowledge of insurance, business, finance is preferred.
• Ability to assess priorities and manage deadlines effectively.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently.
