Nautilus Insurance has an exciting opportunity for a Business Process Consultant within the Strategic Operations & Solutions groupThis role is located on a hybrid schedule in our Scottsdale AZ office.

The Business Process Consultant role will rely heavily on influence to offer advice, information, insights, and recommendations in assisting the organization in achieving their objectives and resolving challenges. Additionally, this role collaborates with company leadership to develop supporting processes, policies, procedures, and rules. They will provide consultative support and identify optimization opportunities, with a ‘continuous improvement’ mindset.

  • Leads various efforts evaluating processes and performing quantitative/qualitative analysis to recognize improvement opportunities
  • Executes clear, coherent and thorough approach to lead from problem statement to opportunity identification to solution resolution by applying process analysis, design & improvement methodologies
  • Uses analytical frameworks/templates and visuals to aid business stakeholders in the identification, prioritization, structuring, and resolution of complex business problems
  • Designs process management protocols and coaches process owners on proactive management of processes
  • Coordinates collective feedback from business partners to create recommendations around people, process, and technology enhancements and quantifies benefits
  • Creates detailed process maps that adhere to agreed upon standards, format, and definitions
  • Drives the facilitation/execution of workshops and co-creation sessions with key stakeholders
  • Participates in the design of and/or conducts training on new process initiatives
  • Produces implementation plans for new functionality or process improvements, including development of business cases, action plans, communication and adoption/change management activities
  • Develops and delivers presentations to business partners and executives, focusing on key messages and anticipating/answering questions clearly
  • Monitors and communicates the results of process improvement projects/initiatives to management and the Executive Leadership Team
  • Develops and maintains productive customer, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant, related work experience
  • Certification in a recognized process improvement methodology/framework preferred.
  • Understanding of process engineering approaches and ability to modify/adapt approach to achieve necessary outcomes in the manner best suited for the situation
  • Proficient in Visio and other Microsoft Office application skills
  • Highly proficient in conducting process analysis and design projects leveraging various techniques through the stages of problem definition, process capture, flow charting/visualization, process analysis and redesign
  • Proven project management skills, including ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines; ability to deal with unstructured problems and drive optimal business outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex and/or technical information, as well as lead/facilitate discussions across various levels of stakeholders
  • Organized, result-driven, and ability to work on multiples tasks
  • Strong relationship/business partnering skills; Builds credibility and trust with business partners to unveil complexities and nuances of the business and its processes
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing demands and priorities and some level of ambiguity
  • Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies relating to business process architecture
  • Knowledge of the E&S insurance industry preferred
