Responsibilities

We have an opportunity for a Customer Service/Claims Concierge individual to join our Berkley One team! You will be responsible for assisting our claims team in ensuring the delivery of an exemplary claims experience to our customers. No insurance experience required, we will train!

This position will be based in our Wilmington, DE office  

 

Key functions include but are not limited to:

  • Support claimants and our claims colleagues in delivering a seamless insurance claims experience  
  • You will be trained to handle various activities/tasks, including:
    • Respond to claim inquiries such as payment status, claim status, check reissuance
    • Invoice processing
    • Total loss statements and processing
    • Posting recoveries
    • Process property bulk payments
    • Police report ordering
    • Arrange for car rental set ups and extensions
    • Other projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • We are open to entry level or individuals looking to learn about the insurance industry
  • Must have strong customer service skills and open to work in a high growth, fast paced environment
  • Experience working in an office setting performing clerical and data entry tasks
  • You are an excellent collaborator, calm under pressure, possess excellent organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks
  • You are comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • You have a strong sense of accountability, fun and adventure, along with a natural curiosity to learn how things work
  • Ability to work independently to get the job done
  • Computer literate
