Responsibilities

The Professional Lines Claims Examiner manages a book of claims within their authority. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in professional lines claims handling. The position reports to a Claims Vice President who will monitor the work and grant additional claims authority as training progresses.

This role will be based in our Stamford, CT office (hybrid work schedule). The Metro North train station is right across from our office building - less than a minute walk! 

 

Key functions include but are not limited to:

  • 3-5 years of Professional Lines experience, reinsurance claims handling is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; particularly Excel Familiarity with Policy/Contract language.
  • Familiarity with Policy/Contract language.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Travel domestically as required.
  • Ability to work independently as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree: law degree and/or insurance designations a plus. 
  • 3-5 years of Professional Lines experience, reinsurance claims handling is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; particularly Excel Familiarity with Policy/Contract language.
  • Familiarity with Policy/Contract language.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.

  • Travel domestically as required.
